Hello all, I am new to the forum and one of the fans that cannot stand the new ewok celebration song in ep.6. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find it to make it into a ring tone?
I dont think that the newer cd’s they sell includes yub nub anymore.

You should be able to find the original-original soundtrack CD (or LP) on ebay.
It's all over youtube as well.

I think that cover art may be for a fan made soundtrack. The soundtrack includes Jabba Sail barge music, the different celebration ending music etc....
The abrupt end of Ewok celebration sounds like a fan edit.
The same is found in the choral version. An edit has been made to have the Return Of The Jedi end title music. The original version of this track was on the Star Wars Anthology CD box set, but for some reason they decided to put the end titles of The Empire Strikes Back afterward.

Because the disc on which Yub Nub appears is a disc of extras, combining cues from all three films. The ESB take is the one from the film, not the one released on the album, hence its inclusion on disc four.

Yes.
Keep in mind that at the time, soundtrack albums weren't the archival-style presentations that we're used to today. They were abridged and re-arranged for listening purposes. The Anthology box set still reflected this approach, even as it added a treasure trove of additional music (and is still the best-sounding presentation of music from the trilogy on CD — the RCA/Sony Special Editions have awful sound on Empire and Jedi). Combining the celebration with the unreleased end credits on Empire was their solution for including a piece of music that would have an abrupt end, and one that would have an abrupt beginning without wasting too much disc space.

Thanks, it makes a lot more sense now. I love the Anthology boxed set, I remember the day I bought it at a Coconuts in NYC circa 1995. I had to order the set from them because the only one they had in stock had a slice in the box top where an employee had been careless with a box-cutter.
I like the RCA sets only for the additional unreleased tracks they provide, but the Anthology set will always be my favorite of the CD releases.
The Family Guy spoof of Jedi used one of the soundtrack Yub Nub tracks at the end.
so it still survives in that form.

Yeah, it's a great set. I always remember the first time I played the discs, it was like finding Alladin's cave.
