I'm liking it so far. I don't mind the lion so much anymore since it isn't obliterating my army. I like the variety of pieces, and though it's hard to plan ahead with so many of them. The variety of pieces do allow for elaborate defenses though, but it takes a while to get them out into the action because of all the pieces surrounding each other. I don't miss the drops, because I think it would just be too hectic with them. A person could have ten pieces ready to drop and then plop them all onto the board one after the other, so I think it would just be too confusing and frustrating to play like that.
