Virtual Sports Team

I'm thinking we should start up a virtual sports team that can somehow imagine playing a game online.  I suggest the following sports and wonder who would be interested in what:

Bowling
Softball
Badminton

I also suggest we come up with a silly name.  I will list a few adjectives and nouns and am open to suggestions as to how they should be combined:

Adjectives:

Idiotic
Foolish
Rambling
Silly
Foolish
Ignominious
Unadulterated
Gawking

Nouns:

Morons
Loners
Losers
Weirdos
Misfits
Hotheads
Goobers
Scumsuckers

I don't know how interesting this might be.  Perhaps we could pretend to have a bar called Darth's Drinks, and maybe create a newsletter.

It's an interesting idea. I'm not entirely sure how it would work, but I think I get what you mean. I'm open to the idea if other people are.

Well, I was just thinking that we could all be part of this elite team, but not really play any games.  Rather we'd sit around in my bar discussing silly things.  We could have other areas linked in the OP of Darth's Drinks.  We could have related threads called The Bar, The Psychic, The Greenhouse, The Mental Health Center, etc.  Doesn't it sound like weird fun?

I get it now. I do this (discuss silly things) all the time with my friends. ;)

Yeah, it's pretty silly.  I don't really think I'd be able to keep it up.  TV's Frink used to be good at keeping up games with silly rules, but we'd have to drum up the ghost of the former Frink to ask him to take charge of this sort of thing.

Yeah, that thread was the shizz (Mormon swear word replacement, FYI).  I was thinking we could even compile our own Hitchhiker's Guide to OT.com.  It could be a little movement in the Off Topic section!

I love the Hitchhiker's idea!

As for the group name, I think it should be "The Rambling Mor[m]ons." ;)

Clever :)  Not sure how many would want to join.  I do like the "Rambling" describer best.  I think we should create a culture around our team, filled with legends and superstition, kind of like the Chicago Cubs and the Billy Goat Hex.  Anyway, it's a bizarre idea, but I thought I'd throw it out there. ;)

Gotta go for now.  So long, and thanks for all the fish.

I was actually hoping there'd be a little more protestation from someone about this thread.
