Since there are people out there that apparently are fans of the prequels, I doubt they'd completely ignore them, but if I were JJ Abrams (which I'm not) I'd be very careful if/when/how/why any references to them are made.

I'm cautiously optimistic that they will respect the OT and not bring in any PT references that break wind in the face of the classics.

(What I'd REALLY like to see is a reboot of the prequels. Just start from scratch. They did it for Spider-Man already and it was only 5 years between Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man. It won't happen, but a man can dream...)
