Here you go, my friend: http://www.figmentfly.com/published/legendarticle.html

That's from the original author, so it's the fully uncut version of the article; i.e., no magazine editing.

He also has shot-by-shot breakdowns for each cut!

Enjoy!

Thanks a ton for this link, does anyone know how to make a pdf file of this with image if possible for offline viewing?

 I made a quick version here....  https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6966638/Fairy%20Dust%20_%20Reconstructing%20LEGEND%20by%20Sean%20Murphy.pdf

Are there any fans of the movie Legend? if so can someone tell me what are the exact differences between the 3 cuts? I am tossing around an idea and I would love to know what the exact differences are between the 3 cuts, which are Director's, US Theatrical, and I am not sure what the other version is called lol, but I have it on my UK BD.

Thanks

I have the UK and US discs but am yet to watch all three back to back but I think with the discs there is no need for a new one

I also wanted to comment on Donations to the Team for what we need and such, I have been getting a lot of PM's here and at other forums on this and I really do not know what to say about this, we do need supplies, we will always need them, so far it has mostly all been out of my pocket, but now that we use printable blanks now the price of BD25's went up(well kind of, it is only available in a 50 pack, price is actually pretty much the same) we will always need BD25's, BD50's and Viva Elite 1 & 2 disc cases, shipping supplies and now my BD burner looks to be taking a crap, this actually does not surprise me with all the burning I have been doing over the past couple years.

So basically I guess I am trying to say I still have no idea what to do here, or even how to handle it, I just know I cannot keep paying most all the expenses myself much longer, but I really do not want all these damn great goodies we do go to waste, mini lobby cards, reversible cover art, inside cover art, and soon mini posters, and more!

You obviously did not read all that was written lol, I want to do a "fan edit" version, my version.

Request: Pet Sematary Two (1992)

I know there is a 1080i file floating around on the net for this.  Another sequel worthy of an unofficial release, since an official one doesn't seem to be planned anytime soon.

You took the words right outta my mouth. One of the better sequels out there, together with Fright Night II and ROTLD II...this would make an awesome Team Blu release!

Saturn 3 (cinemageddon)

Krull  (cinemageddon)

Tales from the Crypt   (cinemageddon)

Fire In The Sky would be a really nice project for Team Blu. The best abducted-by-aliens movie ever!

Another movie that might be nice to see in HD is Screamers.

I have a 14GB 1080i version of this movie if you monsieurs would be interested. Would be awesome to see it as a Team Blu blu-ray. Don't know of any special features ever released for this one though...not even easy to find a friggin trailer for it...! Although there was a really interesting article in Fangoria about the film and the cuts they had to make for it to get an R-rating...

Idea: Fully Authored BD-25 for Stephen King's Sometimes They Come Back (1991)

I have the 1080p file of this if anyone is interested in jumping on board with creating this classic Stephen King tale into a Blu-ray.

There is a German blu-ray coming shortly...

I just wanted to let you guys know that without the guy getting these HD files for us some of these projects would have never been done, I know he is anonymous but PLEASE give thanks to him as well for making some of these even possible, with that said we are currently working on getting these HD files possibly this weekend!

Shocker
Rapid Fire
Showdown in Little Tokyo
The Arrival

so are there LD's for all but Shocker that have anything of use? I have Shocker already and it has digital PCM!

Thanks

* 1 more thing with our projects, if at any time a project we are doing gets an official release date we stop what we are doing for this, for example I wanted to do Death Wish but it finally got a release date and as a matter of fact it releases next week, so we are not doing it, unless the retail release is royally F'd up for some reason.

D_J, what about "The Arrival" HD? Is the alternate ending available, too? I was thinking to start a project using LD as source (as probably even that could be better than the retail BD) but if you could obtain an HDTV version of it, oh well, it will be definitely way better than uspcaled LD - of course!

But, LD's soundtracks - and extra features, including the alternate ending - could be a nice addition to the project; let me know if you need audio/video captures and/or some help.

What I need is a comparison (if available) of BD Vs HDTV, or screenshots of the HDTV version...

I have both "plain" CLV and boxset laserdiscs, plus the PAL DVD, which is open matte!

What about the classic movie Midnight Run, is there any good HD version's of this movie that Team Blu could use for a future project?. I think it was released on HD but not on Blu Ray.

I understood that "The Arrival" will be one of your future project, and I wondered if I could help with audio or video tracks from laserdisc or DVD, as I have them and I like the movie... so, sorry if I derailed the thread. Help still availble if you need it, though!
