a special thanks to our Anonymous Capper or this would have never been possible!

note on this LD digital PCM, this was by far the worst quality digital PCM I have ever heard,
and it was very, very difficult to sync, this whole sync job was very hard to do and almost made
me scrap the whole deal lol, I hope to never, ever run into this again, and I have 2 LD’s of this
and both were identical regarding the quality and issues, so we did the best we could to make this work.

Enjoy

This is classic Charles Bronson ...... a great movie for it's time.

I got my copy and I've had a chance to skim through the film.  The picture quality is really good, given the age of the film and the available source material.  All of the audio tracks sound really good and I didn't see any noticeable instances of sync errors, so it looks like that was fixed up.  The extras are kind of limited being only the theatrical trailer but that's mostly due to the lack of extra material being available for the film, in general.

The reversible cover is a really nice touch, as well.  I'll post photos when I have a chance.

Got this in the mail last night. I had a chance to look it over but I haven't watched the entire movie yet. I am really happy with the way this came out given what sources were available. Picture quality is excellent in my opinion and the audio was booming!! Especially during a few action scenes I sampled.

Very happy with this being one of my first full projects with Team Blu.

Another great release by Team Blu. I got a chill as soon as the menu music started playing. Brought back a lot of memories of watching this in the late 80's and early 90's. The video was a lot better than I was expecting and the Master Audio track was really impressive. The only sync issue I noticed was the stage coach scene which had me laughing pretty hard at Slim Pickens, especially the "God damn! Blue Whistler musta caught her right in the third eye." line. A big thanks to all responsible for this release. I will enjoy this for years to come.

Thanks ROTS FAN for the great words, where at in that scene is it out? You_Too and I both went over this thing like crazy and I am really curious now lol, although now I do not have the files anymore, I have been doing some serious drive cleaning getting ready for our future projects we have coming after our little break.

I will say this again though, this project was a NIGHTMARE! if I come across any more LD's that are this hard to sync I will drop LD audio on future projects lol, we actually would like to get help in this if we can.

One thing I did notice in the segments I sampled that could explain the sync troubles is that it looked like some of the dialog might have been overdubbed, especially in the scenes that appear to have been shot outdoors.  Maybe there were sound issues that forced them to have the actors go back and re-dub a lot of their lines.

This could be, this LD was crazy hard to work with, just ask the Team I was ready to bury this project and delete everything a few times, this project got me so pissed off it wasn't even funny, I mean I could have it perfect in Vegas but then watch the BD and it just didn't look right, I am just glad it is OVER!

DJ sure deserves a lot of praise for synching the LD audio to this one. I took a look at it and it was horrible indeed, he had to make hundreds of cuts and edits.

But I somehow don't think it's got something to do with overdubs because the out-of-synchs happen at parts where there's like just music and sound effects too. I think it's just the frame count in lots of shots that differs between the prints or something.

Here are a couple of quick photos of the blu ray package.  Sorry for the poor quality.  The second photo shows the reversible cover.

I've been trying to download via the file sharing service, but it's painful. I am lucky if I can get one file per day. Half the time it just errors out after 4 to 6 hours of downloading. Pure torture.

Is that with a premium account or with a free one?

Free. I don't have the budget for a premium account.

Downloaded. It's 2 AM and I will go to bed, but not before I start the burn process. Saturday night will be spent hunting The White Buffalo! :)

I watched this earlier and I immediately detected sound sync issues starting in chapter 4. From that point on the PCM and DTS seem to be ahead of the video by a few frames. Most would never notice, but I did. I'm incredibly sensitive to this sort of thing. The DD2.0 track is properly in sync, but sounds tiny and muffled in comparison to the other two tracks (not Team Blu's fault since it is crummy 192kbps).

The video on this is superb and mastering of the disc is studio quality. Menus are responsive and immediate to move. Chapter movements is perfect, as is scanning. The BD loaded super quick in my PS3.

I am a big fan of Team Blu and feel they are about as good as it gets for fan restorations, so I hope my comments are not taken as an attack or negative. I don't regret taking the time to snag this release.

Thanks for the review Matt, it is greatly appreciated, also thank you on commenting on the authoring(did you notice the little icon for the PS3?) we strive to be perfect but in the end we are no different then any other fan of movies here, I have already commented on how fucking shitty this LD PCM was\is and it took a lot of work to fix, I went over that with you in PM so no need to say it here.

Also thank you very much for the bolded underlined part, this is what keeps us going believe it or not, we all love these projects we choose and do, but at the moment we are all on a much needed break and probably will not get back to work until mid February or possibly the end of Feb.

Again Thanks
