Letting the stream of consciousness flow is like pigging out on food; the urge gets satisfied, but in the end, all you feel is depressed.
Your mom gets closer to heat death every year.
Don't ask me why . . . you don't want to know.
Everyone gets closer to heat death every year.
Yes, but by 'heat death', I meant the kind of heat that only Fink can supply.
(aw snap!)
He may have only made two films, but William Peter Blatty is still one of my favourite directors.
I still wish that one day the whole Exorcist/Killer Kane/Legion/Dimiter series would get the Hannibal TV series treatment with the books weaving in and out of each other with new interstitial material.
Ideally the detective in Dimiter should be Kinderman now moved to Israel (in the book he is from the other side of the divide being half Arab but the character could work as a sort of ex-lapsed Jew in exile).
There is a problem with this picture.
Can anyone identify what it is?
Someone made it.
I can't tell what the hell is going on?
I’m just here because I’m driving tonight.
NoKnickers-El hasn't got an iron strong enough to take the creases out of his metal foil Supercape.
Did anyone else find Google/Youtube barely functional yesterday?
None of my devices could access Youtube and Google search took forever yesterday but bing went like a bomb.
I uploaded a vid to YouTube no problem.
Maybe it was regional??

I was going to say that the classic Superman outfit is on the wrong Übermensch, but there's that, too.

I see you aren't familiar with Friedrich Nietzsche and his concept of the "superman".
But... Superman isn't an example of an Übermensch. If anything Lex Luthor is more of an example of a Nietzschean Übermensch...
Then again I refuse to believe that the character depicted in Man of Steel is Superman so.. :/

The Spleen thread is gone from the first page!!1! That makes me happy.

In this context, I was just using "Ubermensch" as an alternative for "Superman".
The exorcist is so good it's absurd. Even if you take out the whole horror aspect and have it not be demon possession and have it just be a mental illness as the doctors believe it would STILL be a good movie. Epic win that will never be duplicated.
I wonder if the word 'Orange' was created to name the colour or the fruit.....?
J
The colour got the name from the fruit. Interestingly enough, in the warmer climates of places like the South America, oranges and lemons are green.
Source: I've been watching lots of "QI" lately.

Except for the scene with the Pazuzu statue, I found the movie bland. I honestly prefer the sequels over it.

I thought it took place in the alternate universe of Earth_weird, where everything is f___ed up.
Oh, you mean Earth-H ("H" for "Hollywood").
Prior to the Spring of 2004, I'd never heard of LaserDiscs. Then I read a crumbling old Rolling Stone magazine from the early 80's with an article touting all the technology's virtues.
I've still never seen one in person, though.
