I'm not going to walk out. This time I'm going to wait 6 months and find out if it sucks before watching it. Not going to get fooled again.
I'm 25 years old and I don't recognize anyone in that picture, exacept for Hamill, Ford and Fisher and Cyrus (and that only because she was on Two and a Half Men last year).
Also, I never noticed the lens flares in either Abrams' Star Trek film before they were pointed out (even in STID, when I saw it first in the cinema in 3D, I already knew about the whole lens flare debate about ST09 and I still was too engaged in what was happening on the screen, to notice any lens flares, let alone be distracted by them) and I think the lens flare is a very good way to make VFX look real to our brains - it was used in Blade Runner and Close Encounters and E.T. and even Star Wars to great effect and it works really well even with green-screen digital effects.
I was just kidding/being sarcastic. ;)

I don't know 7 people on this picture, is that normal, or am I just getting old?
Oh, it's completely normal. After all, modern teenybopper crap is completely forgettable (unless they shove it in your face and try to force-feed it to you).
The only person (besides our beloved Stars) I'm sure about is Miley Cyrus. And having been a late 90's Disney kid, I think I recognize that blonde girl on the left.
EDIT: Wait a minute, those blonde kids on the right... is one of them the kid from Big Daddy?
Glad I posted that pic I found. Turns out trolling can be fun! (Evil laugh, throwing back of neck and rubbing of hands in glee)
I also only recognise the OT ancient ones and Miley but it was difficult to be sure if it was her because usually her tongue is sticking out (I'm starting to think she has some kind of medical problem that means her tongue is used to regulate body temperature like a dog).
But despite the joke I think the choices of costumes for the OT 3 are actually not too far off the mark. Luke would be better in black but Leia in a Mon Mothma senate uniform seems about right.
VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

Speaking of costumes, I don't want there to be any "rule" to Jedi clothing and/or lightsaber colors. Conformity isn't "good" and is boring.
Well, they hired the costume designer from Abrams' Trek films, (who also worked on Blade Runner) so there ought to be a clue in the varied outfits we saw in those movies.

If any villain that looks like this

Simple!
I like Cliff Curtis' Fire Lord, I like Thrawn, I like Tarkin, I like Saruman.
You know why?
THEY'RE SIMPLE!
I’m just here because I’m driving tonight.
Hollywood's not into "simple" anymore.
Actually, cross that out. Hollywood is actually into "simple" -- simple-mindedness, that is.

I believe Tarkin to be one of the most underrated Star Wars characters. He calls all the shots in ANH and was intended to outrank Vader in the good old days when the Empire was the ultimate evil, not the Sith.
I choose to believe that he's the main antagonist of the original Star Wars. I like him the most because he's not trying too hard.
Vader's a bit over-it with his imposing nature and dark voice, but I think his, along with the Emperor's, writing makes up for it.
Still, I would have preferred someone like Chris Greenam for Vader, and Clive Revill for Palpatine (I'm big into British talent).

I don't know, the red sith lady is kind of hot. ;)
And what the heck does Marylin Manson have to do with Star Wars?

Something about the Inquisitor picture just makes me angry...
People talk about JJ and lens flares what about the lens flares in episode III.
Never noticed til recently while flipping through the channels and saw Spike TV airing Revenge of the Sith. The lightsaber scene at the end has an obscene amount of lens flares.
It happens every time Kenobi and Hayden Vader cross blades.
“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.
If there's any merit to the rumors of Abrams doing tests to try and recreate the look of the film grain from the OT, then I would hope and expect that level of fetishization to extend to all other aspects of the cinematography as well.
So, if they're to stay as close as possible to the look of the OT, we should only see a flare whenever there's an explosion. It should look unintentional, as it most likely was in the original films.
Oh hell yes. Borrow that Panavision camera used for SW that sold at auction, refurb it, and use vintage lenses while they're at it. ;)

Nothing. I was just being goofy.
Well after that NSync rumor, you have to be careful about such things. ;)

Well the new "Inquisitor" character looks lame and is lame story-wise. I will avoid anger by not watching the series.

This is what the good guys should look like.
The idea that disfigured, deformed or daringly non-conformist body types are outward signs of evil is a grain that needs to be worked against.
I would have the villains look like pretty Stepford family members.
^I definately agree. I've even contemplated writing a short Star Wars story that works in that vein.
Some latest interesting casting rumours... - http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/star-wars-rumors-who-is-669997
Interesting, if it's remotely true.

Fassbender would make a good remnant imperial officer. I wouldn't want to see him as one of the main protagonists, though.
And I'd like to see Hugo Weaving in a role that isn't the stereotypical maniacal villain. I'd like to see him as an ally to Luke, possibly a Jedi.
