I followed that link, and all of the people and machinery in the top three items look like the 2009 Trek to me, (I'm never going to use the term "nuTrek",) Am I misunderstanding part of this random Star Wars thought?

Other than one new lost era novel i see no other TOS star trek novels or comics. And it is still true that they don't make any more tv shows or movies in either the tos prime universe or next gen timeline.
Most of the fan focus is on the JJ Star Trek comics i hate and loathe them will never accept them. Although i might have been interested in an adaptation of Into Darkness in comic book form. I liked the one for 2009 enough i suppose.

IDW is currently reprinting the original Star Trek comics by Gold Key. They also just released this odd little number:
A photonovel sequel to the episode Where No Man Has Gone Before.
As for Trek fans, they just recently voted Into Darkness the worst Star Trek film of all time.
They also drove Roberto Orci off of twitter.
I always hated that Enterprise had the Borg. Now that they are somehow in the TOS timeline does not surprise me.
One to many times back to the Borg. I sort of forgave it in First Contact because i loved the movie. But by the time they were resurrected in voyager i came to the conclusion it was just another lazy trope. Never mind Enterprise and the new TNG relaunch novels.

I know! There'll be a big honkin' crossover between the Star Wars Universe and the mainstream Marvel Universe that'll run for five years and seventy-two issues, with lots an' lots of murders and rapes to show how mature and sophisticated it all is! Grant Morrison will be the head writer, and he'll use his own blood to pen the script! And at the end of it all both universes will crash together, fusing them into one ugly, twisted mess, and then there'll be a follow up miniseries that'll run for eighty-four issues, full of even more murders and rapes just to drive home the point of how mature and sophisticated it all is!
Oh, and Rob Liefeld will be the artist.
