TPM: Daneditor's Radical Re-Edit.

AOTC and ROTS: (pending)

ANH: That bootleg provided by AntcuFaalb is pretty cool. Available now on MySpleen.

ESB: Pugg's 16mm.

ROTJ: (none)

AOTC: None. I've concluded what I suspected for years. This film is in soldier terms FUBAR. "Army of the Republic" does need an honorable mention.

ROTS: Stankpac's "Revenge of the Sith [Special Edtion]", though I still much prefer the novelization.

ROTJ: Daneditor's Radical Re-Edit. It's still in workprint stage.

Puggo Grande is my go to for Star Wars if i cannot stand the Gout.

Puggo Strikes Back for Empire as well.

Until return of the pug is released its GOUT V3  DJ. For JEDI

“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.

Episode I: I prefer not to. Obvious reasons.

Episode II: See above.

Episode III: See above.

Episode IV: Adywan's version. I love his colour correction and his removal of stupid SE additions, and I also love his other additions like the improved graphics and TIE reveal as well as all the new rotoscoping and technical fixes.

Episode V: Will be Adywan's version for the reasons stated above, but is currently the original (though I've only seen the 2004 DVD version of it).

Episode VI: It will be Adywan's for the same reasons as the other movies (and I am also looking forward to any big changes he does to the Battle of Endor), but until then it is the original (though again I've only seen the 2004 DVD version).

Episode VII: I generally don't watch it, seeing as it doesn't exist yet and all that.

Episode VIII: See above.

Episode IX: See above.

I alternate between the CBS/FOX VHS box set versions(1987?) and the 2006 DVD bonus originals, with only occasional viewings of the special editions, which usually leave me furious. (especially the butchering of Jedi, my favorite film). But yeah, the originals on DVD look decent enough, but sometimes I like the fuzzy, full screen VHS rental look that I remember from the 80's. I'll keep doing this until they finally do us some justice!

As I mentioned elsewhere I only enjoy the 97 SE's for their colour corrections accept for in the first movie because of the really annoying pink tint visible in 80% of the movie so I like what Lowry did in 2004 better than in 1997 for the first movie but I prefer the 97 versions of ESB and ROTJ because they look better than the 2004 DVD's and 2011 BD's of Empire and Jedi mainly I hate the blue tint scenes in ESB and I hate how they made the scenes have a lighter tone the movie is supposed to be dark although I watch the bonus discs from the 2006 DVD's for the most part because it is all unchanged and I don't have to buy the Laserdiscs (which are the exact same thing).

What’s worse George Lucas changing the OT or selling the rights to Disney

I don't entirely agree as having the LD's is a different experience from just popping in the GOUT.  I have the pre-smear 1986 Japan Special Collection and it is FAR more worthy than the GOUT or those "bonus" DVD's.

It's always interesting to see which "go to" people favor though.

I watch my VHS copies from the 80's, the SE's, and yes the all hated and despised blu-ray box set. I love it and can't help myself.

I am what all Jedi fear to become, and what all Sith wish to be. A GOD!

I watch the blu rays for the comittry and features but the quality of the movies lets me down. I watch the dvd original versions for the movies even despite them not being good quality ! i like to watch the revisited version as alot here do and I watched revenge of the sith Kerr version on youtube some time ago now but its not there or I'd watch it everyyime !!

Okay, so I don't know if this is off topic, but if someone could point me in the right direction, that would be nice.

I own what is supposed to be the 1995 THX VHS trilogy. Both Star Wars and Jedi are the THX mastered copies of the films, with the "One Last Time" trailers and the George Lucas interviews, but Empire appears to be an non-THX 1990 release. However, when looking at the label, it is identical to my father's THX copy of Empire- it has the THX logo, 1995 copyright date, etc.

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this? To me, it seems when Fox was releasing this edition, an old tape was mislabeled as the new one.

Again, if this is the wrong place, please point to where I could get proper information on this issue.

Episode 1 - Official DVD and Blu-Ray releases, The Phantom Edit.

Episode 2 - Official DVD release.

Episode 3 - Official DVD release.

I'm also open to viewing other fan-edits of the prequels if anyone has some good recommendations.

Episode 4, 5 and 6 - All official released versions except Blu-Ray, Harmy's Despecialized Editions, Adywan's Revisited Editions.

My reasons for why I would watch these is because of a mix of love for the old, appreciation for the fan-edits and tolerance for most of the new.  Minus the CGI Yoda added to "The Phantom Menace" Blu-Ray and the elegant color correction, I'm convinced that the changes made for the Blu-Rays were pretty much a middle finger to the fan-base from Lucas on his way out the door.

Just bagged my-self a laser disc player(pioneer CLD 925-dual NTSC/PAL capability).

Bought the 1st release pan and scan Star Wars(PAL)

and Empire Strikes back(NTSC)

Decoded the 2 channel stereo tracks using dolby pro-logic.

I have  a 7.1 set up.

Using a 27inch LCD LOGIK TV to watch them.

Wow!

Superb presentation both picture and sound--especially considering both discs are over 30years old.

Pretty constant use of the surrounds.

To see the original elements in pristine quality(all be it in pan and scan) is fantastic.

I am aware that there are preservation efforts on this site regarding these discs.

And whilst watching a well rendered DVD rip is cool.....nothing quite beats putting THE original laserdisc in a player and sitting back and enjoying the show-like stepping back in time.

My 4K projector is retiring for the moment.

I saw Star Wars in 1977. Many, many, many times. For 3 years it was just Star Wars...period. I saw it in good theaters, cheap theaters and drive-ins with those clunky metal speakers you hang on your window. The screen and sound quality never subtracted from the excitement. I can watch the original cut right now, over 30 years later, on some beat up VHS tape and enjoy it. It's the story that makes this movie. Nothing? else.

Years ago I'd watch the 2004 DVDs, because that was all I had.

Lately, I started watching the originals ripped from the 1980s VHS set because I finally wanted to see the original unaltered trilogy, which I'm glad I did.

But now thanks to Harmy, I am and always will be watching the Despecialized editions!

Question, why do you still watch the 95 vhs if the gout uses the same transfer? Unless, of course, you like the pan and scan effect...

Nobody sang The Bunny Song in years…

That and also I'm nostalgic. The '95 set was the first set of SW videos I ever owned so I guess I gotta a special place for it. I love the 'One Last Time' commercial and the Leonard Maltin interview with Lucas.
