Hi everyone, hope you all had a nice Christmas.

For the record mine is a PAL laserdisc, so yeah... it is cropped unfortunately.

Booshman has kindly provided me with the missing scenes which I needed, so the only thing I can think of is try and upscale them to fit the blu-ray. However I am more inclined to try and either downscale the blu-ray to 480p so the difference isn't as jarring. But as already noted, the DVD has a colour timing closer to the LD footage... so it's really finding the right balance. I don't know which people would prefer.

I will post some screenshots of my attempt at colour-correcting the blu-ray at some point, which has for the most part, been desaturating it slightly, and to remove some of the teal.

I think if you're going to downscale the bluray, you might as well use the DVD as the source. It looks a lot nicer colour wise and will save you work. I think based off the quality of the rip that the footage will blend better this way too.

I'll be happy to capture the laserdisc with my X9, upscale the needed scenes to match (as it could be possible) the blu-ray, and use the whole capture as color reference for the blu-ray... rockin, where are you from?

I've no idea of the method used to capture the LD rip I have. Based from the screen grabs I posted, can you tell how much of an improvement your X9 would make?
