I'm over an hour in.
I will remember this year as the year I discovered Benedict Cumberbatch, the year of the first government shut down in a while, and the year I discovered that Avatar: The Last Airbender Season One is nearly impossible to adapt into a successful movie.
Look forward to seeing what 2014 has in store.
Also, the year that Fox assured us that Santa is white.

That much closer to 2015, with the flying cars, CD player hats, and dehydrated pizza.

2014's still nineteen minutes away for me, but since I'm here, I may as well reminisce.
Ah, 2013 ... the year I watched and became a fan of Twin Peaks; became a fan of David Lynch in general; watched and became a fan of Sliders; became a fan of Heather Langenkamp; watched most of the episodes from the first three live-action Star Trek series'; read the first two novels in the Dune series; got sick three times in three different months (January, September, and October); watched way too many movies; and got rid of most of my R. L. Stine books.
Overall, it wasn't the worst year I've ever experienced (but it certainly wasn't the best, either).

I could do well without any more years ending in 13.
If we don't have flying cars 12 months from now, I will be very disappointed. Someone has to open a Cafe '80's at the very least. ;)

Well, this year will be most memorable to me as the year I became an active member of the internet. ;)
It's the year I joined my first forum (this one) and the first year I contributed to anything over the internet (Frink's edits) and the first year I did a bunch of other things, including watching my first fanedits (ANH:R, TRM, and AOTR).
