I wonder if the theatrical DTS discs for the Lord of the Rings trilogy are out there somewhere. I'm surprised nobody has ever even mentioned LOTR in this thread...
They are out there .... but yeah no-one ever asked so I never went searching for them. I'd guess there would be the original releases and possibly the extended releases (didn't they see a short theater release?).
There were 35mm prints of the extended editions of FOTR and TTT - I believe there were marathon screenings when ROTK came out. However, from what I've read, ROTK never had a 35mm EE release.
I think we have as much chance of finding the FOTR/TTT:EE discs as we do of actually finding 35mm prints of them. :)
Hey Jetrell, how many of these 'found' tracks have you transferred to file (ready to be muxed)?
How does the cinema DTS of Apollo 13 compare to the LD? Heard the latter is fantastic.
Anything that has "sorted" next to it has been decoded, assembled, and in sync.
I ripped my Event Horizon Bluray video and added the DTS cinema audio to in and I'm loving it.
We have yet to work on Apollo 13 as of yet and some of the bigger projects on the board took some of the attention from this thread although the Star Wars Trilogy SE audio is being used for one of those team projects.
DoomBot and I have discussed presentation of course but at this point we aren't sure how to proceed as we don't have the menu and artwork skills for such an endeavor. We did reach out to a few folks who do know this stuff and they were only able to offer us suggestions as they are obligated to only certain projects. We respect their honesty and understand completely.

DJ, I have acquired "Bring It On" but I am still working on Rush Hour 2. I obtained Rush Hour 1 & 3 but those are not what you're looking for.
