In 1986 they attempted to extend the lifetime of the Kenner Star Wars line, and one of the concepts was literally two Star Destroyers smashed together. No kidding.

 Back in the 80's, I saw a huge triple hulled SD model at a county fair of all places, complete with a tiny Millennium Falcon fleeing in front of it. It was a work of art. I can't even imagine how many hours it took to create. Whoever built it should have been hired by ILM on the spot.
