Han's Blaster Signature Sound.

Han's Blaster (Gun) has a unique sound to it but I spotted some inconsistency.

First shot in the Mynock Cave = incorrect sound

Han shoots the Floor = correct sound plays here

Dining Room with Vader = Incorrect sound

I like the sounds that is used in the dining room but as Ady is adding ricochet shots my thoughts were to put the correct sound for the blaster and use the sound that is present in the scene for the ricochet shots that have been added. Also it would keep his signature sound consistent whilst keeping as much of the original sound as possible.

Anyway just another one I spotted the correct sound of his gun can be heard here.

Wedge was dubbed by different actors between ANH and ESB (where I think it was actually Denis Lawson himself).  This has always driven me up the wall!  I expect this will corrected, right?

Actually, i for one never had a problem with that. I figured Wedge was about the same age as Luke, and his voice just got a bit deeper as he aged throughout the trilogy. that's just me tho.

Just...wow.

I think i could go 50/50 on the Correct Blaster sound. Part of me thinks It could really be an enhancement and be a wow and the other part of me thinks it could be damaging.

I think it is one of those that it's worth a try and if it does not work then that is just the way it is...

I never noticed anything about wedges voice before... I always thought it was the same actor.

This, btw, is why many people are tired of your posts. Just like you never noticed the voice actor discrepensy, they didn't notice the other little things. If most people haven't noticed, it's probably not worth fixing.

Total BS. If Ady had said from the get-go that he planned to do many of the things Ronster has now proposed, most of you would call the decisions "brilliant".

Agreed. Nobody called it nitpicking when Ady made the dead stormtrooper's head fall faster in the opening battle sequence of ANH:R. Just because Ronster focuses more on audio than video does not mean he shouldn't share the discrepancies he finds. As with anything else on this forum, they are suggestions that Ady can choose to make, totally ignore, or provide justification as to why he will be leaving things as they are (all of which we have seen him do given the myriad of ideas that are voiced). Everyone here is a huge fan of this film. Since ESB:R (and other projects) aim to correct the inconsistencies, I'm all for people approaching this with a "no stone left unturned" attitude.

Well Christmas is almost upon us.

The bulbs i ordered were finally delivered yesterday, a week after their estimated delivery date. This has caused all sorts of problems. With the canyon filling up the dining room, i need to get this filmed and out of the way by the weekend at the latest, which is when i will be halting everything until after the holidays. This means there is no way it is going to get a 2013 release. So this next 2 days will be a race to get filming on certain elements finished and out of the way. These include the canyon, the shield generator model and the speeder flaps. but once the canyon is complete and dismantled, filming the other two should easily be done in a day. I'm assembling the canyon right now, adding the finishing touches and doing some test runs.

In the New Year i shall be starting the Wampa and finishing off the carbonite model. While i am doing this i will also be able to finish the 2 hangar models. So it will be a mad rush to the finish. There are about 10-15 shots left that need effects added, not counting the shots that require the models/ miniatures, but these can be completed very quickly once filming is finished.

I did try my hardest to get this edit finished for the end of the year, but you can't control outside forces. with the delay of being able to get the carbonite prop and the bulbs etc this put me back about 3 months. So i would now say that we are looking at a February/ March release.

Anyway, here is the almost completed canyon model. This isn't the filming lighting but just a quick snapshot with household lighting.

I am going to apologize to you asterisk8 and anyone else here who is angry with me.

Thanks Ray and Blue for sticking up for me they do have a point perhaps I am crowbaring the thread a bit. I have time on my hands at the moment as all my work is finished for this year and to be honest this project is of great interest to me and I have great enthusiasm for it. I have never intended any Harm but perhaps I am causing harm by posting up things for topic on a regular basis.

I wanted to look over the whole films audio and spot whatever I could possibly see that could perhaps be improved I actually felt I had finished this. I then got my hands on a copy of the Gout which got me to sign the petition here for the OT to be restored and released. Anyway all I want to say is even if you are cheesed off with me, please try to appreciate the hours and hours I have actually focused and tried to bring up some details that I have spotted to try to be helpful and not hinder.

I think Han's Blaster was the last stone anyway that I had missed. Job done.

Happy Christmas and Goodwill to all men eh

EDIT:@ Ady Looking Great! Best of luck with it and don't get let yourself feel any pressure It's done when it's done

Thanks for the progress report, Ady! The canyon looks beautiful, and I'm excited for you to be able to finally clear your dining room for the holidays!

Thanks as always for your hard work on this project, and I'm glad you're planning to take a breather before starting up again in January. Good luck with the filming!

You are a Madman and a Scholar... I salute you.

If you have to do some extra work anyways, I say wait until next May as a weird 34th anniversary celebration.  Hell, you could put it out on the very day EMPIRE came out.  That will give you time to watch it all the way through to look for any seams to clean or whatnot.

PS: no need for clips, but will there be some more side turret action from the AT-ATs, especially when you see them moving/aiming at something (and not just the long, thin lasers, but the shorter "mini gun" versions above them)?:

Also, have you tried adding a "glass" reflective effect on the AT-AT window (like above)?  Something else I noticed: the big guns underneath the head have a cylindrical part in the rear of the gun, indicating they can point downwards independently of the head, much like the side guns:

Merry Christmas Adywan! and thanks for the continuing hard work on this.

I hope before you pack away the Canyon you've flown a toy Falcon through it a few times and made "Neeeoooowwwww!" sounds as is only right and proper.
