I like Star Wars and the original three movies, but I never exactly watched them growing up (I was born a year before TPM came out, and I have a vague recollection of watching Jedi at a friend's house), and I don't own the official home video releases. Like, everybody knows what happens in the story, because the films were big hits, they revolutionized the film industry again, and have buried themselves deep in pop-culture, but I only took a real interest in the original trilogy about five years ago. I of course knew of the changes that were made over the years, so I made a conscious effort to watch the theatrical versions instead, and I eventually ended up here. I can call myself a fan of the films, but beyond that I don't hold too much interest in the franchise they have created.
