Veddy intahesting...
Thanks for the heads-up. Looks like fun. :-)
That trailer thing looks kind of crap, but I've never been a huge fan of Mythbusters. I like the premise, not so much the format and the way it's handled. My biggest gripe is either have more content instead of reiterating the same thing over and over and over and over again, or just keep each episode short (30 minutes or so would seem perfectly fine) so watching it doesn't feel like a complete waste of time. That's a complaint I have against most modern TV, though. I get why this is the case, but it's really annoying nevertheless.

I stopped watching Mythbusters after the Batmobile episode. I thought some detail in the experiment was blatantly flawed. Don't remember what it was, I'll go back and watch it again sometime.
What aspect of the chasm swing needs to be proven or busted? There's plenty of alternate footage showing the actors performing the stunt. Funny how the OT has less crazy improbable stunts than Indy.
Now, if they're researching the realities of metal slave bikinins, they will have my undivided attention. ;)

Mythbusters was one of my favorite shows but now it's just become Moviebusters/Youtubebusters or anything involved with guns. It has come far away from the first episodes where they e.g. built a raft to escape Alcatraz. I know, of course the amount of "myths" gets smaller but still. Also the format has been dumbed down significantly and now they're all yelling all the time and clowning around (except Jamie) when before it was more fun when they had fun with each others expense. If you compare Adam from first season and Adam in the last few seasons it's pretty striking.
And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.
I stopped watching Mythbusters consistently when they deliberately threw out data during the swimming in syrup test. Then too much of the show became on-line content that it became annoying to keep up with it. So I might check this episode out or maybe not. Thanks for the notice either way.

Last one i watched was on the plausibility of the escape Indiana Jones uses in Temple of Doom from Club Obi Wan.
Not sure when that aired. Years and years ago it seems.
“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.
So I ended up watching this because I was sort of lazy and just didn't want to choose a DVD/Blu-ray to watch while I ate. So this is Mythbusters now???? Most of it seemed like roughly recreate the movie scene rather than the old episodes I remember watching. Where the emphasis was on the information. The Tauntaun part was good tho.

Oh my, did they test whether someone could survive freezing by being stuffed into one?

Yep. It was good info filled stuff. Went into the temperatures, recreating the supposed temperature on Hoth through the research they did, and a lot more. Good stuff.SilverWook said:

People have done that in real life with horses just to stay alive. I think it's been plot point in an old western tale or two, which is probably where Lucas or Kasdan got the idea.
