My friend C3POlreud, a new face on the boards, bought the DVDs and we had a nerd get-together yesterday tot watch the 2004 Editions. I was BLOWN AWAY with the picture quality, particualrly the upgrade in ANH. Clearing up Vader's voice was amazing too; it was like hearing new dialogue. That and the fixed lightsaber effects made the ANH duel SO much better. Aside from Luke's terrible GREEN and WHITE saber on the Falcon, all the lightsaber effects were excellent. The new Emperor scene balanced out to acceptable, but not as good as it could have been.

That said, I still hated Greedo, Jabba, the Wampa, the ESB shuttle sequence, Jedi Rocks!, and Hayden. The Hayden change could have worked if 1) He actually made eye-contact with Obi-Wan, 2) He didn't look so damn creepy, 3) The spirits started out in their original form, and then ALL THREE morphed into their younger selves.
