"Star Wars" radio and childhood memories.

When I was 12 or so I got the Star Wars radio show on tape for Christmas.

My dad and I listened to it, one episode a night, all over Christmas vacation.

I mentioned this to him yesterday over Christmas brunch, and he has no recollection. It's funny. To me it was this bright, fun and exciting part of my youth. It was new and interesting, and I shared it with my dad. To my dad it was a pleasant way to kill a 1/2 hour a night for a week or so.

Not knocking my dad at all, but I'm just dwelling on how my precious childhood was in fact just his regular life. I have only the vaguest recollections and have seen pictures of my parents taking me to Disneyland. I have crystal clear recall of lying on the old vinyl couch in the dark listing to "Star Wars" radio shows, drinking cocoa with my pop.

My own lad is a year and a half old now. I wonder what simple things I take for granted are going to be the real important parts of his childhood.

Look over here, no one posted in TheBoost's thread!

I have decided to bump this thread so people can post in it. It's depressing that nobody had memories of Star Wars radio and childhood memories back then, but hopefully people remember things better now.

And I can't post anything on topic in this thread, because my childhood memories are so recent that you old people still consider it current events ;)*
