Correct me if i'm wrong, but I don't think Boba Fett is ever named in the original film. This kinda seems weird in hindsight, so perhaps when Han and Leia realize Lando betrayed them, and he comes out, Han can simply say, "Boba Fett" off screen just so that this otherwise unnamed bounty hunter has, well, a name. The first time he's named in the entire original trilogy is right before he gets killed in ROTJ.
