N64!
The chess thread is in off-topic.
^ Does R2-D2 come equipped with a gaming console?
There, we're back on topic.
It's set a long time ago so maybe he only has an ES?
The Falcon does has that holographic chess board.
I think it's a good sign they're building the ship full scale instead of a just a ramp leading up into a bunch of scaffolding. Hopefully, we'll get to see some pictures soon, as it can't possibly spoil the plot.

Don't you mean to a green screen?
That was (and still is) my major concern: How much will they build, regarding sets? Visually the prequels suffered IMMENSELY from all the blue/green screen work, which was even more apparant with the crappy keying, as compositing could only be done at the 2K resolution they shot at. With Ep VII being shot on film, at least that's not an issue anymore.
Now let's hope all that talk about ramping up model work and physical sets is actually more than just PR babble.
All that was built of the Naboo cruiser in Episode One on location.

The last life-size Falcon was built for the deleted sandstorm scene in Return of the Jedi, or as it was known when filming Revenge of the Jedi.
What i am worried about is a cgi falcon instead of a model for the actual shots of it in space.
The new Enterprise 1701 in the Star Trek reboot was all cgi and no model and that was ILM and JJ Abrams.
I am also worried about lens flares.
Today the Falcon flying through the asteroid field would just be man hours to render in cgi. You would not have ILM painstakingly creating the effect with miniatures, models, motion control cameras and matte paintings.
There are some promising things we do know so far however about Episode VII being shot on real film 35mm, Kasdan is writing it. But again the promises to limit cgi remind me a bit of Crystal Skull and that was Shot on film. Kathy Kennedy worked on that. And it was shit.
“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.
It was the same prop built for Empire. They sealed it up in plastic, and put it in storage until Jedi went into production.
Why they didn't use it for at least part of the rebel hangar sequence baffles me. That wasn't the best matte painting ILM ever did.

I couldn't care less if they build full-size ships. Even if they prequels had all model base SFX and full-sized ships, they would suck just as much. My primary concern is about the story, characters and visual (rather then practical) design of things.
And I don't want to see a single lens flare. Why the hell would one remind the audience that they are watching a film shot with camera, instead of letting them enjoy the fantasy world, is beyond me. JJ Abrams said he wanted to be unique with those stupid lens flares but that is like trying to be unique by taking a dump in the middle of the street.

I bet all the sand from the sandstorm scene really wrecked the prop. It's rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like CGI. With CGI, everything is soft and smooth.
Perhaps the making of book has the answer to which scene was shot first?

According to the book the sandstorm sequence was the very first scene shot for the movie. There you have it :)
The rebel hangar scene on the other hand was one of the very last scenes they shot in England, before moving on to Yuma.
I don't want the Sith to be seemingly extinct, but in reality not extinct. Let the GFFA learn from history.
If the villain turns out to be a scantly clad Sith woman like Darth Talon, I think many fan concerns will fade away. ;)

Humor. It is a difficult concept...

Roan Fel's daughter is visually how I imagine Princess Leia in the radio dramas.
We learn by doing, SilverWook.

Everybody, what is your greatest fear for episodes 7-9?
