Hi, does anyone have this French Jedi Poster in Hi-Res, with or without text?

Thanks

I actually think I do, will need to check...

We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

Sincerely, Lynne Hale publicity@lucasfilm.com

Woo-hoo! Thanks msycamore.

I recommend msycamore's stuff for Star Wars and Empire but anyone who wants harder to find poster scans (about 2000x3000 px) should try here:

www.movieposterdb.com

It's not a free site, but 5 euros (6-7 bucks) gets you 100 credits (50 poster downloads) and from my experience so far 90% of them are really high quality and better than those easily found elsewhere. A lot of international versions are there at high quality too.

I am thinking of making a post in this thread using thumbnails that link to the highest quality scan of each Star Wars poster, starting with the main one sheets. I will probably not download international versions for a while but if anyone wants to send missing scans to me I will include them in the post.

It is a pain in the neck searching this thread and finding low quality or removed poster art and it would be helpful to everybody that wants them to have an updated source that is all in one place.

Might it warrant a new thread so I can put this "thumbnail gallery" on the first page?

Is there a real color version of this? Or anything similar poster-like ad or anything in color for the Holiday Special? I'm doing a cover so it'll stay in b&w if there isn't any.

Fixed. While this site does have fantastic stuff, some of their Star Wars posters are stretched or squashed. I found an excellent style A one-sheet there - but Leia has the same shape head as Karl Pilkington. Beware! I have offered to replace or correct what I can if they offer me free access to the Star Wars posters; I don't intend to buy credits to get them all and find out the hard way which ones are crap, and I don't intend to upload everything I have for the same result. The admin there are also as slow as a wet week, so while I'm waiting for their answer I am having some success putting their file names into GIS and finding the same images elsewhere ;)

Olly Moss posters.

I don't think I am going to bother with the archive idea after seeing how many times it has failed in the past. I think I might just upload a rar file somewhere and give you guys a link when I am done collecting images. Can anyone help me via PM to track down a full set of Ralph McQuarrie concept art?

I'd like to request the highest possible resolution theatrical poster scans from all three films, both original and SE, to be able to use to create some new cover art for my and DJ's projects.

So if anyone would share them, even if only over pm I'd be very grateful.

Yo, give me a bit to put a pack together, then I'll PM you a link or something. I'd like to think I have put together a pretty sexy collection of the poster art

May the Force be with you.

^ That would be great, if it isn't too much bother poita. All the style As have one problem or another.

Here is a more complete collection of the images I gathered while obsessed with hi-res poster art.

RE PM STD: This is what i got.

I tried uploading a file of what i got on the same web-site which you use, and even after registering there the upload freezes at 99 percent every time i try.

EDIT again, seems to have worked afterall then???

I know this is a thread about official posters, but here's one I've made, a fake one for a hypothetical Episode episode VII:

I'm searching for this promo picture in Hi-Res...

...for many years now.

[EDIT]...and I just saw, that I have already posted this in the Thread about two years ago...

I collect loads of the images. Expecially Carrie. Aint seen that before (i missed your original posting so it seems). There is a Photoshop trick to do that but it doesn't make the image Hi-Rez per-se obviously.

I tried every Photoshop trick there is. Result was never satisfying.

This isn't it, but obviously from the same session.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Here you go. Only 1600x800 (and a bit wonky), but it's the best scan I've come across.
