I will have to probably take it back regarding Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle. Most likely it was Panasonic DMR-ES25 that wouldn't process all the frames and would skip frames randomly. I used Panasonic DMR-ES25 as a middleman between my LD player's composite output and Blackmagic Intensity shuttle device. Recently I put Panasonic DMR-ES25 in between my VCR and LifeView FlyVideo 3000FM capture card and noticed a few skipped frames.

I will dig further and report what I will have found.
