No, this is one of the project I was going to add to my list... DJ, would you like to pass it to me? (^^,)

I don't even know what project you are talking about, and will you have full blu-ray menu's? bonus features? cover art? and maybe bonus goodies?

Sorry, I'm not that technically-savvy as you, so I can't (for the moment) provide all these thing, unless someone will step in and help me with them...

Well, my source will be an HDTV version that *should* be better than the iTunes one, and I'll add the laserdisc english PCM and italian DVD soundtrack.

If you can, as I think, add all those features to the project, I'll leave it to you more than willingly; if you need my help, though, let me know!

At the end, the most important thing is to release a project; who will do it is not that important IMHO. Do you agree?

Sadly my projects are lost due to an HDD crash… 😦 | [Fundamental Collection] thread | blog.spoRv.com | fan preservation forum: fanres.com

I think  _,,,^..^,,,_  Is referring to "The Sword In The Stone".

We just don't get into "bare bones" releases, that's not our style, I personally don't care for them myself but that's me and this was requested in our thread so if you think you can do it then go for it, at this time I do not have or even know where to get the HDTV file or iTunes file, but MrBrown is a damn good friend of mine and maybe he won't mind the "bare bones" approach.

I have the HDTV and iTunes versions of Sword In The Stone. The HDTV version is a higher bitrate but it's also only 720p while the iTunes version is 1080p.  Also, the HDTV version is from a German broadcast so the title of the movie is in German during the opening.

After seeing the images of the BD, I won't mind a bare bone, if it just would make the movie in the better quality avaible for me. (I can't buy at US iTunes.)

Sure, I really would love some kind of great work with best image and best possible sound, Bonus Features and menu, but I love the movie, so seeing the BD Version just hurt my Disney Movies loving heart, and I care more about the movie itself, than about (cool) additional stuff...

I just saw the images comparison and know, that something has to be done. :) I just don't wan't any fights on this. :) Because: No matter, if Team Blu or some other team or single member: you all are always doing a great job, and one thing for sure: you all love what you do...

...damn I always get emotional when drinking a beer and talk on movies. :)

I would say, that Team Blu has much cool project in the future, and that it won't hurt if this little pice of gem is movie wise put together by another one. Maybe, one day, after the queue is down Team Blu may have time to add a great menu and some great additional features could be added, and a proper cover art. At last we all have one thing in common: we have a hobby, and shall not argue about it, because we are little, compared to the DNR loving masses! :)

It wouldn't take much effort to sync up a replacement video for the blu-ray using the iTunes/HDTV footage and put it into the original bluray structure with multiavchd.

Just seen some screenshots of the new Mary Poppins blu-ray and it looks awful. Looks like this one may need a Team Blu release of the HDTV with the original colours.

I just want to give a shout out to BDgeek, he is a huge behind the scenes supporter of Team Blu, he has been providing a lot of the much needed Laserdiscs for the Digital PCM and other tracks, so thank you very much BDgeek for being so generous with all these LD's, without them we would not have all the great Digital PCM tracks to use, all that said I now have the LD's for The White Buffalo and Krull, both have Digital audio so this is really great news!

I'm catching up with the thread now as I've been away for a while (vacation trip!).

Thank you very much DJ! It's a pleasure helping the team with these great projects.

Hopefully, we'll be able to continue this winning streak of projects!

I meant to post this review much earlier but I've been very busy at work.

Anyway, I received Team Blus Ninja Trilogy project and am glad to report yet another triumph.  The disc loaded up without issue and reacted like a champ allowing me to freely and repeatedly switch between the films and/or chapters without issue or noted glitch.  This is another technical achievement feather in Teams Blus cap as I have yet to see another blu-ray fan project which features 3 full HD transfers on 1 disc.  BTW,  I really like the ninja star motif on the pop-menu as it looks like they have been thrown when the pop up menu slides onto the screen.  To put it bluntly, I believe that this fan project should be a must have for any Sho Kusugi fan.  I myself had forgotten how much I enjoyed these films and am thankful to Team Blu for this project.

In closing, I will say don't hesitate to download this excellent project as it appears that Shout/Scream Factory has zero interest in releasing the first 2 Ninja films after the disappointing sales on Ninja III and the only current releases of the first 2 films are region locked.

Keep 'em coming, Team Blu!!!

I would love to do a triple feature like this for American Ninja, American Ninja 2 and Avenging Force, but unfortunately there are no HD sources available.

That is a great call for a triple feature.  I'd be all over that.  It does really suck that there are no HD transfers available for these fine 80s action flicks.  I'm going keep looking though and report back if I come across anything...

Just to be clear... I'm not referring to the DVHS DTheater releases but recordings made from cable and satellite.

How I wish I had kept my Bram Stoker's Dracula DVHS tape! The BluRay is an abomination.

I was just skimming through my list of all 1080i HD files I have and I just seen I have this listed, now this file is pretty old lol so I am wondering if this would have the BD coloring? hell or if it is even OAR for that matter, I need to get out my storage discs and check, unless someone already knows it is the same coloring as the BD, I also found The Gate!

It was 1.85:1 so I am sure it's OAR or just slightly opened up to 1.78:1. Any Cable or Sat airing prior to the Blu-Ray would be the original transfer with theatrical color timing.

Thanks, then I guess it is worth trying to find these backup Discs then.

Here are some screens from my Disc 1 backup, do these look correct?

and does anyone know what ROTLA this is? I found this backup as well.

I also just found backup discs for Escape From New York, not sure if this is really needed though, the latest BD is good right?

The Dracula screenshots look correct, and just need a bit of reduction to the edge enhancement and maybe some slight balance to reduce the pink tint.
