I listened to the ROTJ radio drama last evening and early this morning. I hesitated for the longest time because I knew it was half the length of the previous two and follows the film's story closely.

I almost abandoned it midway through CD 2. It added little up to that point.

But then I decided to keep listening, and glad I did.

The Ewoks become almost background after the village scene. They arrive to distract Imperial forces as they did in the film and that's pretty much it.

Luke and Leia's conversation on the bridge is easier listening.

The encounter between the Emperor, Vader, and Luke was an improvement over the film, even though those are some of the more classic scenes.

Vader's "No" in the blu-ray re-release of ROTJ was among the most meaningless and cringe-worthy changes. The drama does add lines to that scene, but the intensity and emotion of the actors won me over. It's superior.

EDIT: If someone would like to hear the final confrontation, I can upload a sample onto YouTube.
