I think it's the lack of purpose with the fighting itself rather than anything else. I mean they enter the battle with the supposed purpose of rescuing three people. Then they fight a whole bunch completely randomly... No planned attack formation that I remember. I admit I could be completely wrong about this as it's been a while since I've seen the prequels. So as I recall it was basically Jedi enter the arena from various points, after fighting they end up in the center, saved by an unexpected air support.... So what was the initial plan going in? "Oh we'll just fight a lot and somehow they'll be saved"???Reegar said:
They come across like sugar-coated candy sticks in the Geonosis arena.
I never could put my finger on what was wrong with the lightsabers in that scene. The coloring? The casual way they're handled by a crowd of Jedi? It went beyond their over-use, as RedLetterMedia mentioned. Something else is wrong that only my subconscious can detect.
