No editing other than the Kindle pic was sized up to the iBook's native pixel size and cropped to a similar aspect ratio.

Given the artifacts produced by various resizing methods, that's actually significant.

It can be, but not really in this case. I used the "bicubic - smoother" setting in Photoshop which isn't too bad when you have to enlarge pixels. For reference the original Kindle image was 700x474px while the iBook version without the crop is larger than my 1080p display, so there's quite a perceivable difference.

I've already contacted Amazon to let them know of my displeasure. Feel free to do the same.

So, the folks at TFN (sorry for bringing them up) have posted their review of the The Making of ROTJ.  Naturally, some readers blasted the review for including references to The Secret History of Star Wars.  Some consider that akin to The National Enquirer.

I responded--why, I don't know--and got some really ridiculous replies

Apparently it's okay to bash people if they are dead, but while they're living you have to candy coat everything, be nice to them and not speak too much of the truth.

And since I bad-mouthed Lucas a bit I'm now a "people like you."  Good.

Now I get why TFN'ers are ridiculed so much on this site. I feel more at home here.

Those comments are... baffling. Our species is doomed. There is no hope.

I read the review and the comments, it's the same few sad sacks who pop up there and elsewhere when stuff like this comes up. We mustn't judge them, heavy is the arm that wears the hall monitor sash.

The review is extremely junevile and unprofessional.  Calls the book by John Phillip Peecher a whitewash but spells his name Peeler.

What more can you expect from TFN? :-(

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

I found it interesting that Palpatine was supposed to be an ancient being who uses the Dark Side to stay alive, hence his appearance. Makes far more sense than the fried-by-lightning explanation for his appearance given in ROTS.

I have retracted my post, because although I don't agree personally with the "strategy" behind this release, at the same time I do  not wish to risk this community and it's correct "anti-piracy" stance on such things.

I sign off with a link to the official Star Wars Blog:

http://starwarsblog.starwars.com/index.php/2013/10/21/exclusive-ebooks-videoaudio%E2%80%94complete-contents-revealed/

So there was only 5% that didn't make this release...

Perhaps next time eh?

That page has been removed, for some reason. Did anybody copy the list of contents before they took it down?

Don't click it, because it won't load properly. Copy and paste the entire thing manually.

Thank you! :-)

I meant to copy the descriptions of the audio-only clips, but when I went back to the link (too late), it was gone.

Has anyone had any luck with the iBooks version?  The one I purchased on Google Books seems to only include text and photos in the offline version... none of the "Enhanced" content.

The only one I found uses the Amazon source, which is of course the worst fidelity of all the possible editions from the sounds of it.

Chyron has an iPad1, so we're pretty much waiting on him at this point.

Rinzler mentions a mono mix in his book which i have never heard about.  No further information and it only like in 1 sentence.

The way it was mentions was as if it was its own mix not a folddown of the dolby stereo.

Deleted Magic sure does need a updated version with content from the ebooks and the Blu ray.
