Sorry for snapping the way I did. Its just that we've been having to deal with a lot of people on the facebook page constantly complaining about the quality, the fact that we've watermarked the video, that we're only posting the videos in chunks, that we're not uploading them to youtube or that they demand that we post them elsewhere because they cant view them on their mac. We've even bern flooded with people threatening to report us to disney and lucasfilm to get us shut down. Its rediculous.
Now the disc was unplayable when we got it. It was scratched yo death, even though the ebay listing stated that there were only some minor surface scratches and plays perfectly. We could have sent it straight back to the seller for a refund, after all $700 is a lot of money to waste. But this would have probably meant that this could have gone back into obscurity. So we took a chance because we wanted to share this.
That's facebook for you. Disney and the Mouse would have to be in a parallel dimension not to know about this with all the media coverage anyway. What would these little trolls actually do, send them an email? BFD! ;)
As I've said before, there ought to be people over at the Laserdisc Database knowledgeable about dealing with badly scratched LD's.
