I've been holding off sharing ANH:R with my girlfriend until ESB:R comes out, and she is happy to wait as long as it takes so we can watch the two films back-to-back, as she follows the production on Facebook and has great respect for the effort and love going into this.
I finished playing a fan-made mod of the first-person shooter Half-Life recently, and I thought of Revisited more than once during my playthrough. Black Mesa: Source took 8 years to make with a team of developers and programmers and mappers working almost around-the-clock. This is largely one man (with a fantastic group of men and women helping him in important ways) and I think it's remarkable that it's only taken 5 years, given all that adywan has had to deal with in real life.
Some might consider it hyperbole, but I believe we're lucky to have ANY fan-made special editions of this caliber to enjoy. Revisited is the reason I still consider myself a Star Wars fan today, after turning my back on the franchise after the Prequels. It's been a fun ride these last 5 years watching ESB:R take shape. I've no doubt the final product will be worth the wait.
