I used to have the Taun Taun with the slit in it's stomach so you could put the action figure in it :)

The "Episode IV" title wasn't added until the 1981 re-release, a year after Empire was released.

That needs sorting out on the internet as everything seems to claim it was altered prior to Empire Strikes Back or at least nobody says it like you just did. It's never clarified as alteration after an episodic mention in ESB
