Wow, you can make out the TV scanlines on Leia! I remember when some people thought that level of detail was only visible in the SE recomposite, but nope...

I hope this will also eventually answer the scanline/dot-matrix questions for Empire...

I recall they were visible in the GOUT so it isn't actually that surprising. But the samples does indeed look great.

Vader's communication screen does have a dot-matrix pattern, the "only horizontal scanline version" was proven false. It was just an illusion caused by some poorly made LD transfers. The dot-matrix is visible in both the JSC and GOUT.

We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

The colour balance on these latest clips is perfect. A bit more brightness and saturation, and the whole thing should be perfect! Excellent stabilization and dirt/scratch removal.

:)

Oh, and stick with Vimeo - solid quality, no ads. And switch from Imageshack to Imgur if possible (if you register there, you can adjust privacy settings).

Maybe upload your samples on Mega, or some other hosting site, instead of streaming services?

Another test clip from reel 4.

There are a few  compression artifacts at the beginning.

Also, the starfields are very, very dark, and no sound for this one.

We don't need the 81 crawl, because we're not going to be

using it for our version.

Looks fantastic guys. It's too dark of course, but I assume that it's not final and otherwise the colors look great.

Here's the rest of the "that's no moon" sequence.

This time with audio, however, there are a few sound glitches, due to sync

issues, not due to the video

Again, it's very dark, especially the starfields.

This was a clean up test for the clip.

There is a very light area around some of the effects scenes,

when they are approaching the Death Star.

This looks great.

One question though:

What are the specs of the audio (Assuming you are importing the Dolby Stereo mix from the reels)?

I mean, If you will be using DTS, Dolby TrueHD...

I need a change of underwear.

What’s the internal temperature of a TaunTaun? Luke warm.

The colour of their faces is a bit too orange.

The stars are gone in most of the shots.

The special effects shots where you watch through the Falcon's window need to be cropped - you see even the parts which you definitely should NOT see.

Otherwise than that I think it's great
