So back then, GL was at a loss, so he just flipped a coin and it ended up with Han first. Then in '97, he felt a little itch "creative genius" and swapped it (maybe he thought nobody would care, it made Han seem like a real teddy bear). But now, in 2004 we have this new technology that allows people in movies to shoot simultaneously. Thank god.
