UK Energy companies Price Hikes and the medias response.

Quite unacceptable price rises in Energy costs are being implemented in the UK by Energy companies.

I read the front page of the sun newspaper and it says "Hit the Energy companies where it hurts"

"We are asking you to switch off your appliances and stop them from making profits and pay as close to base minimum" or something to that effect

Now I thought about this and is this what they actually want?

If any action were to be taken by the general public against energy companies it would be to switch as much as you can on as possible by as many people as possible for a small amount of time at a designated time. And make it so supply cannot possibly meet demand.

It may be the case that they are worried about being able to supply enough power to growing populace and the cost of the process and of course investment in the future but this should have been worked in long ago.

It's coming at the issue from a totally different angle.

There are at least three problems with your thread title.

Literally?

1. UK energy Comapnies

2. Price Hikes

3. Media Response

Well, now you've spelled "Companies" wrong.

But I was referring to the fact that you randomly capitalized "Price" and "Hikes," and also that you should have said "the media's response."

If you want to scrutinize spelling and words.

There should be a comma after 'Hikes', and you forgot the period at the end.

Also, the use of the word 'the' in your revised version may not be entirely necessary.

And....I believe saying "tinny Beer" is redundant.

While I prefer the comma there, I believe both methods are acceptable.

Media is a plural so you can't really have a plural of a plural and either there are plural hikes or plural companies (unless you know of multiple companies with multiple hikes).

The title would read better if it were "UK energy price hikes and the media response" as it covers all bases.
