The "equivalent" you proposed is completely invalid, and quite dumb if I may add. In ESB we already have a scene especially designed to show the audience Yoda's explanation of the Force to Luke. So the scene is already there. Why on Earth would you assume Yoda had another but completely different explanation of the same thing off-screen?
