Luke worried about not being able to go on alone without his dead master isn't that different from not being able to go on without his dying master.

I would have the Ben part of the story happen on Tatooine myself but nothing he says indicates Yoda is dead, it just acknowledges that Luke is grieving and that process can start before death if you know someone you care about is already on their way out.

It just seems that the Obi-Wan/Luke conversation would be done with Yoda if he doesn't die while making a big revelation. Honestly though, I hardly remember the scene.. I haven't watched Jedi in many years.
