Use ImgBurn to make ISOs. I've used other software, and it seems that ImgBurn really is the best. It seems cumbersome at first, but once you get used to the UI it really is pretty easy to use.

Most importantly, I've found it to be the best at making ISOs because I've had the least amount of problems with standalone players when burning images I made in ImgBurn.

That is, compared to BurnAware, DaemonTools, PowerISO, MagicISO, and Alcohol 120%. I can't speak to how well Nero does, but I'd bet money that ImgBurn is still better.
