Well this has become a complete clusterfuck. Only 37 of the 92 files are on TehParadox, and MySpleen has squat. Maybe some magic will occur between now and wakey time, and I think I'm gonna give JD2 a try once the files are there.

Wow, are you ever a piece of work.  How long has Harmy worked on this project, and you can't even wait one day?

Don't worry too much about only being able to use the core DTS if that's how it is for your playback system.  The bitrates are high enough that few people would be able to distinguish them with any reliability from the lossless version, and this would require high quality audio equipment set up in an acoustically controlled listening environment (perhaps the most important element, and something many people simply do not have).

Editing to add: I know it's a subject of great passion for us all, and it's easy to get impatient with these things, but seriously guys: it's just a movie.  Chill out and just have fun with it.

Frink, I know it's impossible for you and you have to have the last word, but just for once, STFU.

It’s really sad when the “creative minds” behind something we hold dear are also guilty of its destruction.

Yes, but the files are larger. Therefore, there are fewer files.

The total size is still 17.9GB.

Oh, and yeah. If anyone is wondering why I'm taking so long:

1) This is considerably larger than the AVCHD for v2.1.

2) I'm not at work. My internet at home is slower than at work. When Harmy announced he had uploaded it again, it was too close to the end of the workday to justify starting the download there.

If you're not sure about how to use JDownloader or can't make sense of what to do with the duplicates in the multiupload list, just wait until I put it on the spleen.

If you just want the thing now and are familiar enough with JDownloader, you don't offend me by not waiting.

I have a feeling others will jump into the spleen, ready to help seed, when the time comes.

Yeah, patience folks. Sheesh. ...Oh, and yes, freak shows are always worth sticking around for, at least for a little while.

Yeah, I'd like to download from multiupload. I've used jdownload plenty, but the duplicates things has me stumped (plus they all seem to be offline)

You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

Dude, seriously?  He made a completely valid point about your little childish hissy-fit comment.  We've all waited months for this, if it's gonna kill you to wait another 24 hours for all the files to disseminate to the various downloading sources, then maybe that's a good thing for the rest of us here in the forums!

I don't know a ton about multiupload, but from what I can tell looking at jdownloader, it loads the links from all the sites Harmy chose.  For each file it tries one site, if it has trouble with that site it moves on to the next site to try that one, and so on.  In theory you should be able to get all the links from a single site, but this method can speed things up considerably.

As far as the files themselves go, jdownoader is reporting (to me at least) that only a few files are offline (probably temporary) at a few sites.  Just let jdownloader run uninterrupted and you should get all the files eventually.  If they really all show offline, try these things:

-restart jdownloader
-update jdownloader
-try jdownloader 2 (haven't bothered with this myself yet)

My computer won't install JDownloader, so I can wait patiently for a torrent. By all accounts I should wait for the Blu Ray release but it would be nice to have a copy on my hard drive to watch without having my roommates wonder why I'm watching Star Wars for the fifth time in a month.

Don't worry, you're not the only one. I've also attempted to install JDownloader (& JDownloader 2 beta) without success. I suspect it has something to do with needing to add antivirus and/or firewall exceptions, as MSE alerts me of a (hopefully false) positive during the installation of JD2.

I could try to sort it out or try an alternative downloader, but I really don't have the time (big test coming up on Thursday; I really should be studying more). We certainly don't want to turn this thread into JD tech-support. Anyway, I just wanted you to know you're not uniquely unable to install JD. There are plenty more idiots like me around who willfully or otherwise are patiently waiting for the torrent release.

Sad fact: I actually downloaded v2.1 one .rar file at a time. In hindsight, not my finest moment.

...the file shows up but then chokes on playback from my BDP-83. Sigh.

have you tried saving it to NTFS-formatted USB or esata storage media (not exceeding 2 tb capacity in any case) and attaching directly to oppo with no intervening media server? that's how yark rolls. or hopes to here.

Okay, so it's 1am and I'm going to bed. JD says it needs another hour to finish downloading.

If all goes well, I will upload to the spleen tomorrow morning, which ought to be in about... 6 hours.

Sheesus, a guy doesn't understand something and gets jumped on (typical for OT.com). I had no idea that the number of files had dropped from 92 to 37 or whatever for the post-fix JD links. I wasn't feeling entitled, I just didn't know what was going on here. Excuse me.

Anyway....

I tried using JD2, and it was a total nightmare. It froze, along with every other program on my computer, then I discovered that it changed my homepage without asking. So, I dumped it in favor of the previous version. I don't know what it is, but it is not as simple as it used to be. At a time, all one had to do was copy the URL's into the program, and JD takes care of the rest. Now, it sits there barely doing anything, occasionally throwing a PW at you.

Well, I'll know soon enough if this adventure pays off.

It’s really sad when the “creative minds” behind something we hold dear are also guilty of its destruction.

I remember when Scrappile screwed up his 2.0 torrent.
When others reported problems, he insisted it's their fault not his.

Later, when somebody's 2.1 torrent had hiccups, Scrappile was the first one throwing stones.

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

Does anyone know why only 37 of the 92 files are on TehParadox?  If not, or if I need to wait longer, that's cool.  I also don't mind waiting for MySpleen if that's the better option.  I love all you guys and thank you all for your help.  Especially Frink, he's the best.
