ANH - Chewie attacks from smuggling compartments scene?

Author
Time

Greeting, everyone! I'm new here, and likely to ask silly questions.

I saw two screencaps in Skywalker Paradigm claiming Chewbacca attacking stormtroopers from smuggling compartments once aboard the Death Star. Don't remember seeing it anywhere before.

Chewbacca's attack

Chewbacca attacks a stormtrooper

The settings behind Chewee do not look like Falcon though. The corridor looks a bit narrow for the  Death Star as seen in ANH, and I don't remember anything like this inside the shield generator bunker seen in ROTJ.

Where does it come from? Can it just be fake?

If you have this footage, would you care to share it with me?

Sadness is... spending your life as the only Star Wars fan in the Galaxy to discover that in a Galaxy next door everyone's been crazy about Star Wars for for the past 36 years...

Well, I don't know anything about any lost Chewbacca scenes, but I can tell you pretty much for certain that right behind Chewie in those screencaps is the door to the Death Star control room that the heroes are hiding in when R2 discovers Leia's location.

(In other words, it's the door the infamous stormtrooper bumps his head on.)

“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”

Both those shots are in the movie. Caption fail.

This does raise some questions: What really happened to those four imperials on the Falcon? Did they just get dropped off on Yavin 4, or did Han forget that the bodies were stashed in the secret compartments, or did the imperials who placed the homing beacon on the ship take the bodies back? And also, how did a Wookie and an old man in a robe manage to sneak out of the Falcon while it was supposedly being watched by dozens of troops and cameras? It's questions like these that keep me up at night, people!

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

There's an insider article titled "100 Things you Didn't Know About Star Wars" which states that the EU explanation was that they were stunned, discovered before the ship took off, and died in the explosion in the infirmary. You're welcome!

The novelization mentions they were found as Tack said. Once they knew intruders were on the station, the Falcon was the obvious place to check out again.

If Obi Wan can sneak by the troops stationed near the tractor beam power relay, he could probably cloak someone next to him with the Force.

And as Luke said later on, "I can't see a thing in this helmet." ;)

Well, you could worry about the fact that there two dead technicians and two dead, naked stormtroopers somewhere on the Millenium Falcon for half the movie.

Or you could just forget it and enjoy the movie.

Dead Naked Stormtroopers would be an awesome name for a band!

Frankly I'm more worried about the fact that there seem to be a couple of stormtroopers on the Death Star with severe vision problems. Come on, how did they not see Obi-Wan sneaking around!?

Don't forget walking out of the Falcon without pressure suits in the belly of a space slug in ESB

To get round these scientific flaws I suppose you could say (apart from it's only a movie) that it's set 'A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away' and although the term 'human' is used in the films, the characters have a different biology to us

Hamill actually ruptured a blood vessel in his eye while holding his breath in that scene. That's why there's not too many head-on shots of him in that scene.

Also probably why he's mainly into voice acting these days.

I choose to assume that the space slug's natural gases makes its insides habitable enough for someone to walk around inside it without getting a nasty case of the bends.

I dunno, Han & co didn't think twice about putting on just a face mask & air, if they had known there was natural gasses....or something to equalize the pressure that would be inside their bodies....wouldn't they have known at that point they weren't in a cave.....

I just think wearing a pressure suit is something that the 'humans' in Star Wars don't need

^Exactly! You can't let small things like that ruin an experience for you.

There has to be dial or gauge somewhere the Falcon that tells you if it's safe to exit the ship without a pressure suit. The fact Leia just saw a living creature sucking on the window is kind of a dead giveaway.

These guys can be a little hard to see in Star Wars...

There you go, still no pressure suits, just regular armour with oxygen
