Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released) — Page 410

Okay so is there an alternative to the madness of JDownloader this time? What's this talk of MegaUpload? Does JD have to be used with that as well? I'll do it again of course if I have to, but it's a pain in the ass.

I'm also guessing the original links have been removed at Teh and will be replaced with new ones?

It’s really sad when the “creative minds” behind something we hold dear are also guilty of its destruction.

I've just google Despecialized 2.5 release.

And Google spat out the last page of your Star Wars Despezialicing Project Forum Thread.

Does that mean I can download the 2.5 version any time soon, maybe real soon? I will happily spread it with all the bandwith I've got available

(Unfortunately I can't give any more than ~330KBps)

And now seriously - just started uploading, should be done in like 30 minutes or so.

You can always download 92 parts manually.

Captchas are a pretty small price to pay for this masterpiece.

Multiupload doesn't use captchas.

How's their DL speed? I was cranking at about 4 Mbps on uloz yesterday. About 60/70 minutes for all 92 parts.

Not entirely true...one of the sites included in the multiupload did request captcha entering.

Bah! Forget 2.5, I'm wondering if we're going to see inverted-mouth Luke in an ESB test clip anytime soon.

(but really--thanks as always, Harmy)

The corrected links you mean, Harmy? Is this thing ready to be downloaded without the glitch now?

Of course he means that.  Why would he tell us to go download the glitchy version?

The mind boggles.

Oh well, I think I caught another NFO error.  No biggie though--I'm pretty sure the Japanese dub is not the original 1978 theatrical dub, but the later home video dub (which I believe is more popular in Japan).  Unfortunately I don't know enough about it to say much more about the actual date.

Forgive me for going slightly off-topic, but as there is still a stead stream of users requesting MySpleen invites since they (for their own reasons) prefer to download v2.5 by torrent, I've noticed a few problems with thread we've been referring people to.

The MySpleen invite thread Harmy links to in the first post of this thread was started in 2007. The first and biggest problem is that the first page of that thread lacks any sort of updated instructions on how to properly request an invite and then access the site. Unlike this thread, in which Harmy regularly updates the first post, users are fed outdated information, such as the requirement to give an email address (no longer needed), or the incorrect web URL (thread title says "MySpleen.net").

In order to mitigate the number of posts asking about MySpleen invites, I'd like to volunteer to start a new MySpleen invite thread with a proper first post instructing new users what to do. Before I do this, though, I need to know the following:

1) Is this even a good idea, or should I leave it alone?

2) I'd like to create the thread in a moderated subforum so that it doesn't go unreasonably off topic; would the "How-To's" forum be an acceptable place for such a thread?

3) Harmy, if a new MySpleen invite thread were created, would you update the link in your first post of this thread?

Actually, there was a newer thread and the mods merged it with the one I currently link to, so as for me, I would gladly change the link in the first post, but you should clear it with the mods first (I think moth3r was the one who merged the threads).

My hero.  No sarcasm intended.

If you ask me, and I'm sure everyone would eventually, the problem is that Mothman didn't bother to update the OP.

I think he's just enjoying the show...or he's legitimately hoping I'll lose it at some point.

Here are the changes made to v2.5 - I did the first half hour of v2.5 quite a long time ago, so it's possible, that there was a couple more very minor tweaks that I just forgot about.

How do you figure it's not the original dub?

Well, I guess I should say if you got it from me, it's the home video dub.  The theatrical dub is out on the newsgroups.  Like the Hungarian dub situation, since there was more than one set to use, I just asked our source which was the most popular dub in Japan and that's the one I provided.

I've deleted my old 2.5 file so it'll take me some time to confirm.

I was just wondering, is there a full change list between the different versions, including 2.5?
