I was listening to the radio drama which you can hear on this link.

This scene in the drama does not feature in the film of "Renegade Squadron" protecting Rebel transports.

But I really like the name "Renegade squadron" and the tags say "Renegade one"

So I had an idea to label the escaping transport and fighters as "Renegade one" before the lady in the command center says "stand by ion control" label the escape attempt via comms back to the command center something like

"Renegade one on approach"

"stand By ion control"

It's a reference to something that never was but I like the sound of "Renegade one" and seems to sum up the escape plan in a cool way using a calsign which was intended at some point in a script but here done via crackling radio sound back to the command center.

But I don't have any strong feelings about this idea only that I think it could perhaps sound good and reference cut material in the process.
