It does 1080i H-264 with a maximum bit-rate of 13.5Mbs which should be enough to capture the full quality of the HDX stream. It also will capture the Dolby Digital stream (5.1 or 2.0) as it has an optical in and my WD has an optical out. I will save the file to .ts so that You_Too can better work with it and hopefully improve the image quality.

I saw that you could actually own it on PC now in HDX and was about to get it but didn't know how to use it once I got it lol, please let me know how this goes and if all goes well you have just gotten yourself a full completed package of this BD when finished!
