That's no moon, it's a huge thread!

Happy 10,000th post everyone.

I'd like to thank hairy_hen, who, even though he's having some personal problems, found the time to send me the mono and stereo tracks in DTS-HD yesterday and he said I should be getting the 5.1 track very soon, and if by some chance he doesn't manage it, I do have a DTS-HD encode of his previous version, so the mkv will have the lossless audio for all three original mixes. He might also send me the '85 and '93 mixes and his isolated score track, if there's time, but I'm not sure I'll be including these in lossless in either the mkv or the BD as it would add extra 3GB to the over-all size and that's rather a lot.

There'll already be over 6GB of audio without them in lossless and that together with the video makes 18GB and the size of the mkv will also be quite gargantuan for 720p as it is and I'd rather have more that 2GB for the extras on the BD, because asside from a moving comparison of all the despecialized shots (which will be a fast moving 22 minute 1080p video, so that itself better be like at least 2GB) I'd also like to make a series of "Introducing the..." videos for the BD, which would be sort of FAQ videos. For now, I'd like to do the following:

1. "Introducing the Despecialized Edition"
What is the DeEd and why it was made.

2. "Introducing the Versions"
What are all the different versions. (Does anyone still have the Partly DeEd AVCHDs? I lost them in an HDD crash a while ago and it would be good to have some footage from the PDE for this doc).

3. "Introducing the Resolution"
Why 720p and not 1080p. This would be a 1080p video and it'd show this kind of thing in motion: http://imageshack.us/a/img821/1589/1080pvs720p.png

4. "Introducing the Sources"
This you've of course already seen - only the intro with the Ronto will probably be cut and put in front of the "Introducing the Despecialized Edition" doc.

5. "Introducing the Soundtacks" I'd dearly love to include this one but I cannot with clear conscience attempt to do it myself - I could do the video side of it, but not the audio side and the script of the narration.

I welcome any other suggestions you guys may have for more of these.

And one more thing: I remember there were some problems with some of the commentary tracks on the v2.1 AVCHD, which I'd like to fix before I mux the mkv, but I can't remember what they were - can anyone remind me, please (and I don't mean the leftover SE sounds, I think there were some technical issues).
