I suppose I should update the thread. They now make a relatively inexpensive card ($145) that does 1080p23.976 and 1080i59.94 with 8-channel LPCM, but it only has HDMI and SDI inputs; no analog.

I don't have a clue what you're talking about at this point, since there is no such thing as HDMI or HDCP in the analog realm. There are other copy protection schemes there.
