When Obi Wan configures the secret transmitter thingy to warn any surviving Jedi to stay the heck away from Coruscant...

Song that is the lure:(Because I can't think of another song that has "come back" in the lyrics right now.)

Song that is the warning:

Or just a loop of Monty Python's "run away!"?

I have an alternate idea that goes along with this particular scene, using audio from Mars Attacks.

I like that in theory, but not sure how to incorporate a visual to match.

By anyone normally calling him Darth.

It just goes with the running gag of Sid Sidious, Duke Dooku, Steve Grievous... Dave Vader.

I don't know how to make that happen.  Especially since I'd have to carry it through the ROT...way too many references to make it work.

How about Garth Vader? I actually thought that was his first name for a brief period back in '77. ;)

Where were you in '77?

Da is in Darth already

ay and V are in Vader (you could probably get most of the name by playing Vader backwards).

Much of the time he is just called Vader or My Lord.

If you counted the times he is refered to as Darth we might be surprised and when he is it's usually by characters who have said it already or will again.

Ben says Darth more times than anyone (I think) and you can use the same construction everytime.

The more you have to reconstruct from individual sounds, the worse it sounds.  In AOTR I had Nat call Hayden "Dave" one time as a case of mistaken identity, and it's pretty rough.

Steve Grievous came out well though.

Marrying ST to iev must have been just as difficult.

Do enough people call him Lord Vader that you could pull off Lord Lord?

Author

Not sure, would have to look at the scripts I guess.

When Anakin pledges his allegiance to Palpy, he should do it in the form of the chorus of "Never Gonna Give You Up"...if you can make it look OK.

It might work if you just made him sing the first few phrases and then changed scenes, coming back to him later. It might be best not to cut to another scene, but just have him stop after the first three sentences or so and then have Palpy deliver his lines, but I'd have to see it to decide for sure. I'm not sure how good the idea is anyway, but it came to me when I was listening to the song so I figured I would post it and let others decide...

This could be repeated again in Episode V when the Emperor speaks to Vader via hologram, with the emperor singing this time.

I would like to use that song (and video if possible) somewhere, but probably not there.  I have found that syncing lip movements to a song is much more difficult than dialogue.

I need a good subtitle for R2.  I'm gonna make this another subtitle contest, so best suggestion wins an end credit.  I will say that if you can come up with a good Arnold Schwarzenegger one-liner, you've got a really good shot.

"Have fun storming the spire!"

Where were you in '77?

Author

"Looks like you sprung the trap"/"Consider it sprung!"

or

"I hope you like the music!"/"Mind if I play a little tune?"/"Oops, I triggered the music alarm!"

Author

How about simply putting "I'm outta here!" as the subtitle? Probably not very funny though.

Funny, but I already used a variant of that in AOTR.

Funny idea but doesn't fit with the idea of entrance music for Steve Grievous.
