First of all, that was me, and I did go crazy early this year, I am embarrassed to say. I was living alone, I had no job, and things spiraled downhill fast. I want to let you know that I'm all right, I'm currently employed, and things are looking up for me, though I still find myself lonely sometimes during the recovery process. A girlfriend would be nice. But hey, that's life.
With regards to the edit, you can distribute the rough cut as much as you'd like because although it's technically possible for it to be finished (I still have all the files, the hard drives, etc.), I don't see it happening in the immediate future and I missed my opportunity to use my Anakin sound-alike voiceover this summer.
What can I say? I am truly sorry for letting you all down and for letting this project die. This was my high school life- I centered my day around getting to work on this edit. To see it unfinished is painful for me. But it is what it is, and looks like it is Episode 2: The Workprint Edition.

I'm sure your workprint has inspired many changes in subsequent edits.....it certainly did in mine......which is also......unreleased.
I'll get there eventually.....and I'm sure you will too if you get your passion back for the project at some point.

Hope I didn't offend. I really am so glad that you intend to. When you told me you'd take over, I was happy, but at the time I was not aware of your capabilities. Now that I'm really seeing what you can do, I believe the project will one day get done, and by someone (i.e. not me) who has the capacity to really make the changes discussed. Yes, definitely work on your PT, but I am excited for the day when you resume work on ROTJ. As far as my role goes, the project is forever unfinished because I take a year simply working on a few Star Wars deleted scenes slideshows ;)

It makes my day to see you posting again. I add my gratitude and well-wishes to the others posting already. These fan-edits are a fun hobby conducted by real people and there's a lot of LIFE happening behind the scenes. It takes someone, sharing like you are, to bring a taste of real life to the proceedings.
I'm touched to see so many supportive posts. This has been a great forum for a long long time.

I am the old user "Trooperman". I have absolutely no problem with "Shroud of the Dark Side (2007) Workprint" being distributed wherever you want. It is clear at this point that it will never be completed, because I have moved onto other things (like a dystopia film this summer all my own-see Off Topic).
I would love to talk more about my new project with you if you want, or answer any questions that you have. It's good to be back! And again, feel free to distribute my edit-I have a dual layer version that I can upload to youtube if nobody else does, but I don't know what the policy is...they may take it down pretty quickly.
