Not a big comic guy, really just been reading The Walking Dead for the last few years. Anyway, decided to try reading something new and read the first two volumes of Kick-Ass.

I really enjoyed them. I didn't care much for the movie, but really got into these. After I finished reading them I decided to rewatch Kick-Ass. Absolutely awful. Hated it. But I really enjoy the graphic novels, especially the first one. It follows the same basic story, but they made some really major changes for the worse in the film. I guess to make it more relatable for a mass audience.

SPOILERS In the comic the hero doesn't get the girl at the end. And Big Daddy was just lying to his daughter about having been a cop and her mother dying, he was just another psychopathic comic book dork who kidnapped his own daughter to raise her as a superhero after his wife left him. END SPOILERS.

They are two issues into Kick-Ass 3 so far, and I am completely caught up now. Still haven't read the Hit-Girl spin-off, but will do so soon.

Anybody else read Kick-Ass?
