I've Got A Bad Feeling About This.....Again

Not sure if this has been mentioned on the forum before...way too many posts to get through.

Anyway, I had a thought. Once EpIII is released on DVD, does anyone think that all 6 films would be released as a box set & as a final insult to the fans of the OT this would be released with the original & "special" edits of the 3? So to those (like myself) who bought the vhs first time round, then the revamped vhs versions, then the special edits on vhs, then these new dvd's, the last nail in the coffin would be a monster price tag to get a decent DVD copy of the OT (better than the laserdisc copies I have on DVD) Thus making a stack of cash for the guilty parties?

Just a thought. It seems that Lucas doesn't really give 2 sh*ts about the punters who have to shell out for these movies, it wouldn't suprise me one bit if this did happen.

Lucas used to care, but then he was seduced by the dark side of moviemaking.

He ceased to be an artist and became a hollywood executive.

Fine, mister Lucas, while you're at it why dont you replace Lando with will smith?

There is talk about an Ultimate Edition six-movie set (unsure of how many discs) that is to be released in 2007 for the 30th anniversary of ANH. Dunno if it's true or not as anything is speculative at this point. Possibility it may be a strict HD-DVD release as well. Again... speculation.

A 6box set with 12 discs would be SWEET. Two versions for each film.

Original included, I'd buy it. It'd be worth it.

I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

I don't doubt that there will be some kind of boxed set a year or two after Episode III makes its way onto DVD - note: AFTER it comes out on DVD. Lucas will try to milk as much money out of consumers as possible; I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a 6-disc set, a 12-disc set, an HD-DVD set, a set for the "prequels", another set or two for the "originals," and then perhaps, after that, a sale of each one individually, as "extra special director's editions." I'll wait for the latter to come out 15 years from now so I won't have to buy these horrendous recent endeavors in film making.
