captainsolo, thanks for your very informative comments: it's good to know that laserdisc PCM soundtracks still have remarkable qualities!

I have two italian PCM laserdisc version of ROTLA: the older is from Philips, while the newer is from Pioneer; maybe the old Philips soundtrack is like the NTSC P&S... I should find some time to capture both of them, and compare their soundtracks.

On WOWOW video; I have not the BD to compare, but I like all three very much, and despite what many think about MPEG2 compression used by the HDTV streams, the quality is really good!

So, what about the WOWOW video, with modified scenes replaced with the one from BD (color corrected to match the rest of the video) and PCM soundtracks from laserdisc?
