I slowed down the audio, thus the pitch got lower, which resulted in the correct pitch.

To be more clear: the pitch was wrong on every german home video release until the BluRay.

Yeah, because Blu-ray doesn't use PAL, just the standard theatrical picture and soundtrack speed for all movies. But all the previous German Star Wars home video sets would have been in PAL with the speed up effect.
