Perhaps, with an electronic static charge with the cannons when it cocks its rear leg out, before destroying the generator as another option. But hopefully just making the shots of the laser-blast more amplfied(larger), compared to the usual AT-AT fire power.
The Death Star needed to momentarily power-up its firing to generate the larger firepower.
